the media's coverage of obama's coronation was so far over the top that by the time the actual inauguration came around, people turned to other channels to watch anything but...the inauguration. i am a political junkie, and have followed all (republican and democratic) presidential inaugurals since the early 60's, and can honestly say, i found the coverage so distasteful and nancy pelosi's comments about a president who just completed his 8 year term, so negative, that i turned to the national geographic channel and the cooking channels for the entire day, to avoid having to watch so much negativity.
